Contents IndexContents 33Index33USING THE PEN BUTTONSThe pen is equipped with two buttons. Each button has a programmable function that is selected whenyou press the button. You can use a pen button whenever the pen tip is within 7 mm (0.28 inch) of thetablet active area. You do not have to touch the pen tip to the tablet in order to use a button.To assign new button functions, see setting the pen button functions.The default button positions are:Tip: Set a pen button to D OUBLE C LICK . This is easier than tapping twicewith the pen tip.Upper: RIGHT C LICKLower: P AN/S CROLLP AN/S CROLL lets you position a document orimage in any direction within the activewindow simply by pressing the pen button andmoving the pen tip across the tablet’s activearea. As you move the pen tip, the documentor image is repositioned to follow the directionof pen movement on the tablet. Release thepen button or lift the pen tip from the tabletsurface when you are done.In some application windows the documentwill precisely follow the screen cursor as youmove the pen tip, while in others it will simplymove in the same general direction as thescreen cursor.Use RIGHT C LICK to bring up application-specificor icon-specific menus.
