GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONSFor your protection, Waring® Blendors are equippedwith a 3-conductor cordset that has a molded 3-pronggrounding-type plug, and should be used in combinationwith a properly connected grounding-type outlet as shownin Figure A. If a grounding-type outlet is not available, anadapter, shown in Figure B, may be obtained so that a2-slot wall outlet can be used with a 3-prong plug. As inFigure C, the adapter must be grounded by attaching itsgrounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate.CAUTION: Before using an adapter, it must be determinedthat the outlet cover plate screw is properly grounded. If indoubt, consult a licensed electrician. Never use an adapterunless you are sure it is properly grounded.Note: Use of an adapter is not permitted in Canada.IMPORTANT: HOT BLENDING INSTRUCTIONSTo minimize possibility of scalding when blending hotingredients, the following precautions and procedures mustbe observed:1. Limit amount of material blended to one cup (8 oz.).2. Completely remove the lid insert of the two-piececontainer lid before starting motor. (This will allowventing of the rapidly heated and expanding airpresent inside container when blender is running.)3. Start blending on low speed.4. While blender is running, up to 11⁄2 cups (12 oz.) ofadditional liquid can be added. Pour liquid slowlythrough the opening in the lid.3
