7BEFORE USING YOUR CHOCOLATE MELTERBefore using your melter for the first time, be sure to:• Wash basin and lid with soapy water, rinse with clean water anddry. This part should be cleaned and thoroughly dried by handonly. Be sure probe jack cover is on prior to cleaning the area.• Use a damp cloth to lightly wipe the external surface of mainhousing and probe. Do not wipe probe jack input. If so, allowarea to fully dry prior to plugging probe in.OPERATING YOUR CHOCOLATE MELTER1. Plug unit into a grounded outlet. Display will momentarilyshow Probe and Set temperatures, °F/°C, Ready and HeatingIndicators.2. Press the START/STOP button to turn the unit on and selectF (Fahrenheit) or C (Celsius). The screen will display Set Tempand the red power light will illuminate to indicate power is on.3. Set Temp default is 68°F/20°C. Adjust temperature by pressing(UP ) or (DOWN ) to reach desired setting. Press and hold(UP ) or (DOWN ) button to fast scroll.4. Heating indicator icon will flash until set temperatureis reached.5. READY will appear in display when selected temperatureis reached and heating indicator icon will disappear.NOTE: Heating indicator icon will occasionally reappear whenunit is working to maintain selected temperature.6. The probe can be plugged into the front of the unit at anytime, and Probe Temperature will be displayed. To ensureaccurate temperature reading and placement of probe, placeprobe through the holes on the clip and angle downward intothe chocolate.
