11q 6) Carefully snap the clevis on one pushrod into theelevator control horn. See photo # 18 below.Photo # 18q 7) Place a "single arm" servo horn onto the eleva-tor servo, making sure that the servo horn is centered andpoints toward the outside of the fuselage. The arm shouldhave at least three holes in it.q 8) With both the servo horn and the elevator cen-tered, use a pencil to draw a mark on the pushrod wirewhere it crosses the third hole out from the center of theservo horn. See photo # 19 below.q 9) Using Magnum Z-Bend Pliers, make a Z-Bendin the pushrod wire at the mark you drew. Use wirecutters to remove the excess wire.q 10) Remove the servo horn, attach it to the Z-Bend,then attach the servo horn to the servo, making sure it'scentered. Install and tighten the servo horn retaining screw, provided with your servo, to secure the servo horn intoplace. See photo # 20 below.Photo # 19Photo # 20q 11) Install the rudder pushrod wire using the sametechnique as with the elevator pushrod wire. The Z-Bendshould be installed into the third hole out from the centerof the servo horn as well. See photo # 21 below.*You will need to enlarge the third hole out in the servoarm using a 1/16" drill bit, so that the pushrod wire willfit through.Photo # 21q 12) Double check that the elevator and rudder arestill centered. If they are out of adjustment, remove theclevises and readjust them until you are satisfied with thealignment.MOTOR INSTALLATIONITEMS REQUIREDq {1} 280 Size Motor w/Pinion Gearq {1} Molded Gear Box Front w/Bushingsq {1} Molded Gear Box Backq {1} Propeller Shaft w/Nylon Gearq {2} 3mm Hex Nutsq {1} 3mm Flat Washerq {5} 2.5mm x 9mm Wood Screwsq {1} 3mm x 10mm Self-Tapping Screwsq {1} Prebent Landing Gear Wireq # 1 Phillips Head Screwdriverq Adjustable Wrenchq Electric or Hand Drillq 1/16" Drill Bitq PencilTOOLS AND SUPPLIES REQUIREDASSEMBLING THE GEAR BOXq 1) Slide the propeller shaft through the two prein-stalled bushings in the front gear box half and push itforward until the nylon gear is up against the back of thegear box.q 2) Slide the motor into place, making sure that thepinion gear engages the nylon gear on the propeller shaft.
