Maintenance Operator Guide2-8 DocuTech 65/DocuPrint 65CAUTIONWhen the power on/standby switch is in stand-by and the AC power cordremains connected to a power receptacle, AC voltage is present in the powersupply.10. If the equipment will be serviced or moved, disconnect the AC power cordfrom the AC receptacle.Emergency power-off proceduresAn emergency power-off procedure may be used when the power must beswitched off immediately.CAUTIONThe controller emergency power off procedure may corrupt the DocuSPsoftware. This method should only be used in an emergency.Controller Power-OffTo power off the system in an emergency use any of the following methods:• Switch off the controller power switch on the front of the controller.• On the DocuSP Print Services, the System menu, select the option forImmediate Shutdown.• Pull the controller power cord from its receptacle.Printer power-off To power off the printer in an emergency use any of the following methods:• Press the red button on the printer.• Pull the printer power cord from the power receptacle.An emergency power off of the printer will not corrupt the DocuSP systemsoftware. However, you will need to enter Reset at the OK prompt if thecontroller displays the OK prompt.Controller orPrinter EmergencyConditionsFor the printer or the controller, if any of the following conditions occur,disconnect the power cable from the power socket immediately and contactan authorized Xerox Service Representative to correct the problem• The equipment emits unusual odors, or makes unusual noises.• The power cable is damaged or frayed.• A wall panel circuit breaker, fuse, or other safety device has been tripped.• Liquid is spilled into the equipment.• The equipment is exposed to water damage or flood.• Any part of the equipment is physically damaged.
