DocuMate 520 Scanner Installation Guide 25Scanning from ButtonsCreating New ConfigurationsEach scanner button has preset configurations that you cannotchange. These preset configurations are shown in the SelectConfiguration list on the Configuration dialog box. If you want toscan with settings other than those offered by the presetconfigurations, you must first create a new configuration and thenuse it to scan. Your new configuration is saved in the SelectConfiguration list so that you can use it again. You can also changethe settings on configurations that you create.Note that each new configuration applies to both the scannerbutton and destination application that you select when creatingthe configuration.To create a new configuration:1. From the Windows Start menu choose Program Files, point toScanSoft PaperPort 9.0, and then DocuMate Configure.The Configuration dialog box opens.2. Click the tab of the button that you want to associate with thenew configuration.3. Select the destination application that you want to associatewith the new configuration.4. Click New to start creating a new configuration.You can also click Copy to copy a preset configuration andchange its settings and save it as a new configuration.5. On the New Scan Configuration dialog box, type a name foryour new configuration.
