Remove the hexagon socket head cap screw M6 from the grease inletand the hexagon socket head plug PT1/8 from the exhaust port.2. Install the grease zerk PT1/8 to the grease inlet. (The grease zerk ispacked with the manipulator on the shipment.)3. Inject the grease into the grease inlet using a grease gun.– Grease type: Harmonic Grease SK-1A– Amount of grease: 25cc4. Move the S-axis for a few minutes to discharge excess grease.5. Wipe the discharged grease with a cloth. Remove the grease zerkfrom the grease inlet and reinstall the screw M6, and the plug PT1/8 tothe exhaust port.Apply Three Bond 1206C on the thread part of the screw/plug.3BC2BCAIR2AIR14BC1BCExhaust port (hexagonsocket head plug PT 1/8)S-axis speed reducerGrease inlet (hexagonsocket cap screw M6)S-axis motorNOTE• If grease is injected with the plug on, the grease will leakinside the motor and may cause a damage. Make sure toremove the plug before the grease injection.• Do not install a joint, a hose, etc. to the grease exhaustport. Failure to observe this instruction may result indamage to the motor due to coming off of an oil seal.NOTE The exhaust port is used for air exhaust, and the grease isnot exhausted from the exhaust port.
