nel. The Main Equalization controls are used to "shape" the over final mixed sound tosuit the loudspeakers used and to compensate for the acoustics of the room.Channel AUX Level ControlThe Channel AUX Level control varies the amount of post-equalization, channel signal sentto the master AUX bus. The output of the AUX bus goes first to the AUX Send Level Control, then to the AUX Send jack.Master Section1. The Main Level control receives the audio signal from the Channel Level controls, adjuststhe gain, and sends the signal to the Main Equalizer. The shaded area on numbers 7 & 8 ofthe numbered scale surroundingthe control indicate the optimumsetting region for this control.Operating the control in thisregion will provide the best ingain and low noise for typicaloperation. Not to say that thecontrol must be operated in thishi-lighted region, it is only asuggestion for the best audioperformance. This control is usedto turn down the overall audiooutput to the Main Out and to thepower amplifiers. Treat it like thevolume control on a stereo, as itwould adjust the audio signal tothe desired listening level.2. The Record Level controlreceives the audio signal from theChannel Level controls, adjuststhe gain, and sends the signal tothe Record Out RCA jacks. Thiscontrol operates in the same wayas the Main Level control. Yourrecording will have reduced noiseif the Record Level is set withinthe shaded area and the inputlevel control at your recorder isadjusted for a 0Vu level.3. The AUX Send control receivesthe audio signal from theChannel AUX controls, adjuststhe gain, and sends the signal tothe AUX Send output jack. Theshaded area on numbers 7 & 8 ofthe numbered scale surroundingthe control indicate the optimumsetting region for this control. The AUX Send signal can be usedas a Monitor Send (the audiosignal would pass through a separate power amplifier and power stage monitors), an EffectsSend (the dry audio signal that would enter an effects processor), or through an amplifier toloudspeakers located in another room (another audio zone).4. The AUX Return control receives the audio signal from the AUX Return jacks adjusts thegain, and sends the signal to the Main Level control. The shaded area on numbers 7 & 8 of thenumbered scale surrounding the control indicate the optimum setting region for this control, but depending on how large the signal is coming from other audio equipment, this control willprobably be set from 3 to 8. The AUX Return signal may come from the output of an effectsprocessor, or a stereo signal from a CD or cassette player. If the source equipment is monoinsert the signal into the L Mono AUX RTN jack and the audio signal will appear on the leftand right channels of the AUX RTN Level control. If the source equipment is stereo, insert thesignal into the L and R jacks and a stereo signal will appear at the AUX RTN Level control.5HIHI MIDM A I N E Q U A L I Z A T I O NLO MIDLOWPHANTOMONCHANNELSSTEREO1-45/67/8PHONES /CTRL ROOMASSIGNPHANTOMPOWERPOWERON-18 -9 -3 0 0+3 -18 -9 -3 +3dBAMPCLIP AMPCLIPMAIN LEVEL3 355779910103 355779910103 355779910103 35577991010LEVEL4 5 6738291100LEVEL 4 5 6738291100LEVELRECORD OUT4 5 67382911004 5738291100AUX SEND AUX RTN4 5738291100M A I N6 6
