FT1DR/DE Technical SupplementAlignmentALIGNMENT-8 Rotate the DIAL knob to select the AlignmentMenu "DIG DEV". Press the [V/M] button (the "E" icon will appearon the display). P r e s s t h e [ B A N D ] b u t t o n t o s e l e c t t h e“DIG DEV”. (Don't touch alignment menu"VCO MOD") Press the PTT switch to transmit and rotate theDIAL knob so that the Deviation Meter setting is4.5 kHz ± 0.1 kHz (Both USA and EXP version). Release the PTT switch, and then press the[V/M] button (the "E" icon will disappear on thedisplay).TX Deviation Adjustment (MAX DEV) Connect the test equipment as shown in Figure 1:TX Alignment Setup. Rotate the DIAL knob to select the AlignmentMenu "MAX DEV". Set the AF Signal Generator output to 50 mVrmswith a 1 kHz audio tone. Press the [V/M] button (the "E" icon will appearon the display). Press the PTT switch to transmit and rotate theDIAL knob so that the Deviation Meter setting is4.35 kHz ± 0.05 kHz (USA version) or 4.65 kHz± 0.05 kHz (EXP/EU versions). Release the PTT switch, and then press the[V/M] button (the "E" icon will disappear on thedisplay).CTCSS TX Deviation Adjustment (100.0Hz) Connect the test equipment as shown in Figure 1:TX Alignment Setup. Rotate the DIAL knob to select the AlignmentMenu "100.0Hz". Press the [V/M] button (the "E" icon will appearon the display). Press the PTT switch to transmit without themicrophone input and rotate the DIAL knobso that the Deviation Meter setting is 0.65 kHz(±0.05 kHz). Release the PTT switch, and then press the[V/M] button (the "E" icon will disappear on thedisplay).DCS TX Deviation Adjustment (DCS 023) Connect the test equipment as shown in Figure 1:TX Alignment Setup. Rotate the DIAL knob to select the AlignmentMenu "DCS 023". Press the [V/M] button (the "E" icon will appearon the display). Press the PTT switch to transmit without themicrophone input and rotate the DIAL knobso that the Deviation Meter setting is 0.65 kHz(±0.1 kHz). Release the PTT switch, then press the [V/M]button (the "E" icon will disappear on the dis-play).
