If this occurs, have a Yamahadealer check the system as soon aspossible. (See page 3-16.)WARNINGEWA10081If the ABS warning light comes on orflashes while riding, the brake sys-tem reverts to conventional braking.Therefore, be careful not to causethe wheels to lock during emergen-cy braking. If the warning lightcomes on or flashes while riding,have a Yamaha dealer check thebrake system as soon as possible.The electrical circuit of the warning lightcan be checked by turning the key to“ON”. The warning light should comeon for a few seconds, and then go off.If the warning light does not come oninitially when the key is turned to “ON”,or if the warning light remains on, havea Yamaha dealer check the electricalcircuit.EAU38624Immobilizer system indicator lightThe electrical circuit of the indicatorlight can be checked by turning the keyto “ON”. The indicator light shouldcome on for a few seconds, and thengo off.If the indicator light does not come oninitially when the key is turned to “ON”,or if the indicator light remains on, havea Yamaha dealer check the electricalcircuit.When the key is turned to “OFF” and 30seconds have passed, the indicatorlight will start flashing indicating the im-mobilizer system is enabled. After 24hours have passed, the indicator lightwill stop flashing, however the immobi-lizer system is still enabled.The self-diagnosis device also detectsproblems in the immobilizer system cir-cuits. (See page 3-12 for an explana-tion of the self-diagnosis device.)EAU11601SpeedometerThe speedometer shows the ridingspeed.When the key is turned to “ON”, thespeedometer needle will sweep onceacross the speed range and then returnto zero in order to test the electrical cir-cuit.ABS1.
