INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS4-94Coolant temperature displayThis display shows the coolant tem-perature from 104 °F to 242 °F in 1 °Fincrements.If the message “HI” flashes, stop thevehicle, then stop the engine, and letthe engine cool. (See page 7-45.)TIP When the coolant temperature isbelow 104 °F, “LO” will be dis-played. The coolant temperature varieswith changes in the weather andengine load.Air intake temperature displayThe air intake temperature display indi-cates the temperature of the air drawninto the air filter case.This display shows the air intake tem-perature from 14 °F to 210 °F in 1 °F in-crements.TIP 14 °F will be displayed even if theair intake temperature falls below14 °F. The air intake temperature mayvary from the ambient tempera-ture.Self-diagnosis deviceThis model is equipped with a self-di-agnosis device for various electricalcircuits.If a problem is detected in any of thosecircuits, the engine trouble warninglight will come on and the display willindicate an error code.If the display indicates any error codes,note the code number, and then havea Yamaha dealer check the vehicle.1.
