When you feel there istoo much treble, rotate counterclockwise to suppress.Control range: –10 dB to +10 dB (20 kHz)■ Adjusting the BALANCE controlThe BALANCE control adjusts the sound output balanceof the left and right speakers to compensate for soundimbalance caused by speaker locations or listening roomconditions.■ Adjusting the LOUDNESS controlRetain a full tonal range at any volume level, thuscompensating for the human ears’ loss of sensitivity tohigh and low-frequency ranges at low volume.If the PURE DIRECT switch is turned on with theLOUDNESS control set at a certain level, the input signalsbypass the LOUDNESS control, resulting in a suddenincrease in the sound output level. To prevent your ears orthe speakers from being damaged, be sure to press thePURE DIRECT switch after lowering the sound outputlevel or after checking that the LOUDNESS control isproperly set.1 Set the LOUDNESS control to the FLATposition.2 Rotate the VOLUME control on the frontpanel (or press VOLUME +/– on the remotecontrol) to set the sound output level to theloudest listening level that you would listento.3 Rotate the LOUDNESS control until thedesired volume is obtained.yAfter setting the LOUDNESS control, enjoy listening to music atyour preferred volume level.
