In addition, the oil must be changedand the oil filter cartridge replaced at the inter-vals specified in the periodic maintenanceand lubrication chart.To check the engine oil level1. Place the ATV on a level surface.2. Start the engine, warm it up until the en-gine oil has reached a normal tempera-ture of 60 °C (141 °F), let it continue toidle for twenty to thirty seconds. Duringthis period, rev the engine two or threetimes to approximately 3,000 r/min, andthen turn the engine off.NOTE:_To achieve the proper engine oil temperature3. Wait a few minutes until the oil settles, re-move the engine oil tank filler cap, wipethe dipstick clean with a clean rag, insertit back into the filler hole (without screw-ing it in), and then remove it again tocheck the oil level.1.
