Fully loosen the locknut and drivechain slack adjusting nut on eachend of the swingarm.4. Lift the rear wheel off the groundaccording to the procedure onpage 7-26.5. Remove the axle nut, washer andthe drive chain puller at the left-hand side, then pull the wheel axleout together with the drive chainpuller from the right-hand side.6. Push the wheel forward, and thenremove the drive chain from therear sprocket.TIPThe drive chain does not need to bedisassembled in order to remove andinstall the wheel.7. Remove the wheel.To install the rear wheel1. Install the drive chain onto the rearsprocket, lift the rear wheel off theground, and then install the wheelby inserting the wheel axle togeth-er with the drive chain puller fromthe right-hand side.TIPMake sure that the slot in the brakeshoe plate fits over the retainer on theswingarm.2.
