Place the battery in the batterycompartment, and then hook thebattery band onto the holder.8. Connect the breather hose to thebattery and make sure that it isproperly routed.To store the battery1. If the motorcycle will not be usedfor more than one month,remove the battery, fully chargeit, and then place it in a cool, dryplace.2. If the battery will be stored formore than two months, check thespecific gravity of the electrolyteat least once a month and fullycharge the battery whenevernecessary.3. Fully charge the battery beforeinstallation.4. After installation, make sure thatthe battery leads are properlyconnected to the battery termi-nals and that the breather hoseis properly routed, in good condi-tion, and not obstructed.
