21 EnTROUBLESHOOTING■ BluetoothThe sound isdegraded whenlistening withheadphonesconnected to a CDplayer connected tothis unit.This unit has been set to standby mode. Turn on the power of this unit.12The remote controldoes not work norfunction properly.Wrong distance or angle. The remote control will function within a maximumrange of 6 m (20 ft) and no more than 30 degrees off-axis from the front panel.8Direct sunlight or lighting (from aninverter type of fluorescent lamp, etc.) isstriking the remote control sensor of thisunit.Reposition this unit.—The batteries are weak. Replace all batteries. 8This unit responds tothe remote control fora Yamaha AV receiver.The remote controls for both this unit andthe AV receiver have been programmedwith the same remote control code.Change the remote control ID of the Yamaha AVreceiver. For more information, please refer to theowner’s manual for the AV receiver.—Your CD playercannot be operatedwith the remotecontrol.The remote control does not support theCD player.Refer to the owner’s manual supplied with the CDplayer. —“OVER HEAT”appears on the frontpanel display.This unit has become too hot. Make sure the openings on the top panel are notblocked. —“CHECK SP” appearson the front paneldisplay.Speaker cables got shorted out.
