English-22CONTROLS13. Throttle ControlThe throttle control regulates the enginespeed and thereby the rate of rotation of theblades, assuming the blade switch is pulledout, see Engaging the Mower Deck.In order to increase or decrease the enginespeed, the control is moved downward orupward respectively.Avoid idling the engine for long periods, asthere is a risk of fouling the spark plugs.USE FULL THROTTLE WHEN MOWING, forbest mower performance and batterycharging.14. Lifting Lever for the Mower DeckThe lifting lever is used to place the mowerdeck in the transport position or one of the17 different cutting height positions. The cutting height is set by placing a peg inthe hole for the desired cutting height and thepeg is then locked on the inside (hidden in theillustration) with the supplied pin.1. Pull the lever backward to the lockedposition to engage the transport position. The deck is then raised.2. Depress the lock handle, counter hold, and move the lifting lever forward towardthe peg to engage the set cutting height. The deck is then lowered.3. The lifting lever can also be used totemporarily adjust the cutting height, such as when passing a minor bump inthe lawn.8011-509Throttle control8011-525The mower deck’s lifting leverIMPORTANT INFORMATIONIn order to obtain an even cutting height itis important that the air pressure in allfour tires is the same 15 psi (1 bar).
