Insertthe telephone stand into four holes on theunderside of the telephone set (so that thetelephone can stand on the desk). If youwant to mount the telephone on the wall,you have to disjoint the stand, turn the uppersection 180 degrees and join the stand againtogether. Attach one end of the receiver cordto the receiver and the other end to the socketon the telephone marked with receiver. Attachthe LAN cable (black cable) to the socketon the underside of the telephone marked"Internet" and attach the other end of thiscable to internet modem, router or switch.If you have only one LAN socket available, itshould be used for connecting the telephoneand the PC should then be connected to thetelephone (to the socket on the underside ofthe telephone set marked "PC").If your network does not support PoE (Poweron Ethernet), it is necessary to use a telephonefeed adaptor (an optional accessory). Thetelephone will then start up and the message“Starting…please wait…" will appear onthe display. This may take several minutesduring which the telephone updates itself andit may also restart itself. Then it should bepossible to sign up to the network.Right in the telephone a list of telephonecontacts has been made ready for youto use. To open the list of contacts for thefirst time you have to enter your assignedtelephone number and the password. Youwill receive these details on the delivery ofthe service. Enter the telephone's Menu and,using the arrows and OK button, select thefollowing options: Menu SettingsBroadsoft settings menu Broadsoftcontacts setting. Here, using again thearrows, select "Item 1" and click OK.In the item "Password" enter the samepassword that you use to sign on the portalcentrex.gts.cz. The Name is yourtelephone number. Here you may be ableto adjust the Virtual Switchboard serviceaccording to your needs. Help can be accessedusing the "Help" button in the right uppercorner. Other instructions are also accessiblehere in the item "To Download".1. Making a callLift the receiver or press the"Loudspeaker" button and enter therequired telephone number using the nu-meric keypad and confirm by pressing thecontext-dependent button "Call". To endthe call, press again the "Loudspeaker"button or put down the receiver.2. Control functions• Navigation button is used for movingin the menu. Button OK is used toconfirm the dialling option. There arealso the following types of buttons onthe telephone – the context-dependentbuttons and the programmable buttons.The functions of programmable buttonsare set: User line, Business con-tacts, Personal contacts. The func-tions of the context-dependent buttonsare changed automatically depen-ding on the operating condition of thetelephone.• Menu can be browsed using navigationbuttons or direct dials as every directdial is numbered. The manual will alsodescribe the so-called sequence, mea-ning initiation of a configuration menuusing the context-dependent “Menu”button and pressing direct options 1-9confirmed by the OK button. I.e.: theMenu-2-4-1 sequence means pressingthe MENU, 2, OK, 4, OK, 1, OK buttons.You can return to default status usingthe Back-Back-Leave context-basedbutton.• Context-dependent button Hold - putsa call on hold (with music)• Context-dependent button TransferVolumeAdjustment BarSoft KeysDTMF KeypadNavigationKeysPowerIndication LEDSpeakerRedialTransferLine KeysMessageHeadset |
