___________________________________________________________23/24Call Parking and RetrievalCall parking allows you to put an incoming call on hold on one phone and then pickit up on another. This is achieved by either using the Call Parking soft key on theright hand side of the phone screen.The Call Parking action effectively transfers a call to an unused extension numberand puts it on hold. It remains on hold for up to 10 minutes until picked up byanother extension or the original phone. If the call is not picked up within the 10minute time limit then it transfers back and rings the phone that originally parkedit.There are two ways of using Call Parking. Either by using designated soft keys ifthey have been installed or by using service codes.Soft Key ApplicationParking a callAnswer a call on your phonePark the call by tapping the Call Parking soft key.The caller will either hear music if you have selected the Music on Hold option forthe particular phone or they will hear a message requesting them to “Please waitwhile your call is being transferred”.You will then hear a message “Parked at XXX” where XXX is the extension numberwhere the call is parked.One of the UnPark soft keys will now show red indicating that a call is being heldon that extension. All the company phones with the soft key implementation willsimilarly show that extension in use.The call has now been parked and the phone can be used to make or receive othercalls.Retrieving a parked callFrom any Company phone tap any red Unpark soft key to pick up the call beingheld on that extension.Initially a line busy tone will be heard followed a few seconds later by a ringingtone that should be answered by tapping the Answer soft key on your handset.Fault messagesIf no call can be found to park after tapping the Call Park soft key you will get amessage “There are no valid calls to park”.If an UnPark soft key showing green is tapped you will get a message “Unable tofind a valid call to pick up”.
