035-19047-002-A-11036 Unitary Products GroupMOTORSOutdoor fan motors are permanently lubricated andrequire no maintenance.Ventor motor is factory lubricated for an estimated 10year life.Indoor Blower Motor and Drive - The indoor blowermotor features ball bearings that do not require peri-odic lubrication. However, if the motor has greasefittings, periodic lubrication of the motor bearings canextend the life of components but is optional.If desired, every three years, using a low pressuregrease gun, pump grease into the bearing grease fit-ting until grease just begins to show at the seals. Donot over lubricate. Use any lithium base grease recom-mended for ball bearing service.CONDENSER COILAn annual check and cleaning, if necessary, of the out-door coil should be done. Cleaning should be as oftenas necessary to keep the coil clean. Clean any debrisand dirt from the outside coil face with a brush beingcareful not to damage the fins. If extremely dirty, a hosecan be used to wash the coil from the inside out whilebrushing a soapy solution on the outside.REGISTERSSupply and return air registers must be open when theunit is in operation. Obstructions must not be allowedto block airflow in or out of the registers.TROUBLESHOOTINGBEFORE CALLING A SERVICE TECHNICIAN:A. Check thermostat setting and insure thermostat iscalling for heat or cooling.B. Check thermostat for lint, etc.C. Check fuses or circuit breakers.D. Check filters for excessive dust accumulation.Perform all maintenance operations on the blowermotor with electric power disconnected from the unit.Do not attempt to lubricate bearings with the unit inoperation.Damage can occur if the bearings are overlubricated.Use grease sparingly.
