Do notadd fuel while the engine is running or is hot. Keepopen flames, sparks, and heat away from the fueland store fuel in containers specifically designedfor that purpose. Add fuel outdoors only and if thefuel is spilled, do not start the engine. Manuallypush the mower away from the spill and wipe upimmediately.Refer to the Engine Owner’s Manual for the type of fuelto use.A fuel shut off valve is located on the bottom of the fueltank. It is recommended that the fuel be shut off whentransporting between job sites and when storing themower for extended periods of time.DANGERCAUTIONCAUTIONGeneral MaintenanceCAUTION! Before making any adjustments to and/orservicing your BEAST mower, make sure the mower is on alevel surface, with the ignition switch off, the keyremoved, the brake set, and the blades disengaged. Also,disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs andground them against the engine to prevent inadvertentstarting.If you are performing adjustments or maintenance afteroperating the mower, allow the unit to cool and alwayswear protective clothing.Tire PressureIncorrect tire pressure may cause the mower to pull to oneside and/or result in an uneven cut. Use caution when fillingthe tires. NEVER exceed the recommended maximum tirepressure as stated on the tires.Air FilterRefer to the Engine Owner’s Manual for therecommended maintenance.Engine OilCHECK ENGINE OIL BEFORE EACH USE. Refer to the EngineOwner’s Manual for the type of oil to use, oil changeintervals, and the proper procedures to check and changeoil.BladesInspect blades on a daily basis for nicks, bends, andexcessive wear. If the blades are worn, cracked, bent, ordamaged, replace them before using the mower. Choosegenuine BEAST mower replacement blades to ensure quali-ty and performance. (See page 23 for blade removal in-structions.)When sharpening the blades, sharpen only the cuttingedges and try to maintain the original angle of the blade. Donot make the cutting edge razor sharp. Remove the sameamount from each end of the blade so that balance ismaintained.CAUTION: Always wear work gloves when performingblade maintenance and beware of the cutting edges. Besure the engine is off, the key removed, and the sparkplug wires are disconnected from the spark plugs toprevent inadvertent starting.
