3FIRST USE THE OVENIt is advised to follow these instructions:– Clean the interior of the oven with clothsoaked in water and detergent(neutral) then dry carefully.– Furnish the interior of the oven byplacing the wire racks as described atchapter “Cleaning and maintenance”.– Insert shelves and tray.– Switch on the empty oven on max toeliminate grease from the heatingelements.IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONSAND RECOMMENDATIONSAfter having unpacked the appliance,check to ensure that it is not damagedand that the oven door closes correctly.In case of doubt, do not use it andconsult your supplier or a professionallyqualified technician.Packing elements (i.e. plastic bags,polystyrene foam, nails, packing straps,etc.) should not be left around withineasy reach of children, as these maycause serious injuries. Do not attempt to modify the technicalcharacteristics of the appliance asthis may cause danger to users. Do not carry out cleaning ormaintenance operations on theappliance without having previouslydisconnected it from the electricpower supply. If you should decide not to use thisappliance any longer (or decide tosubstitute an older model), beforedisposing of it, it is recommended thatit be made inoperative in anappropriate manner in accordance tohealth and environmental protectionregulations, ensuring in particular thatall potentially hazardous parts bemade harmless, especially in relationto children who could play withunused appliances. After use, ensure that the knobs arein off position. Do not allow children or otherunqualified people to use theappliance without your supervision. During and after use of the cooker,certain parts will become very hot. Donot touch hot parts. Keep children away from the cookerwhen it is in use. Some appliances are supplied with aprotective film on steel and aluminiumparts. This film must be removedbefore using the appliance. Fire risk! Do not store flammablematerial in the oven and in thedishwarmer compartment. Make sure that electrical cablesconnecting other appliances in theproximity of the cooker cannot comeinto contact with the hob or becomeentrapped in the oven door. Do not line the oven walls withaluminium foil. Do not place bakingtrays or the drip tray on the base ofthe oven chamber. The manufacturer declines all liabilityfor injury to persons or damage toproperty caused by incorrect orimproper use of the appliance. The various components of theappliance are recyclable. Dispose ofthem in accordance with theregulations in force in your country. Ifthe appliance is to be scrapped,remove the power cord.
