15SOMETHING NOT WORKINGIf the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting yourlocal Service Force Centre.IMPORTANT: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused byincorrect use or installation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.Symptoms Solutions1. No burner ignition2. The gas ring burns unevenly3. One of the oven or grill burners does notignite4. Cooking results are not satisfactory5. Cooking time is too long6.The oven smokesCheck that:• Gas supply is completely open• The position of gas pipe is correct• The burner is not wet• The burner cap and ring burner have beenreplaced correctly after cleaningCheck that:• The main jet is not blocked and the ringburner is clean of food particles• The burner cap and ring burner have beenreplaced correctly after cleaningCheck that:• The burner is in its correct place• The burner is not wet• The control knob has been pressed for 10seconds upon ignitionCheck that:• The correct temperature has been selected• The cooking time is adapted• The grill is placed correctly in the ovenCheck that:• The temperature is correct for the type offood to be cooked.Check that:• The oven does not need cleaning• The food does not spill over• There is no excessive fat / juice on the ovensides• Check the fuses.If after these checks, the appliance still does not operate correctly, contact your local Service Force Centre.When you contact the Service Force Centre you will need to give the following details:1. Your name, address and post code.2. Your telephone number3. Clear and concise details of the fault4. The model and serial number of the appliance (found on the rating plate*)5. The purchase date* The rating plate can be found on the lower left hand corner of the front frame of the cavity.Please note that a valid purchase receipt or guarantee documentation is required for in-guarantee service calls.
