22Something Not WorkingIf the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting your localZanussi Service Centre.IMPORTANT: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use orinstallation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.SYMPTOMn There is no spark when lighting the gasn The gas ring burns unevenlyn The oven does not come onn The oven temperature light does not come onn The oven light does not come onn It takes too long to finish the dishes, or they arecooked too fast.n Steam and condensation settle on the food and theoven cavity.n The timer does not workn The oven fan is noisySOLUTIONu Check that the unit is plugged in and the electricalsupply is switched onu Check that the RCCB has not tripped (if fitted)u Check the mains fuse has not blownu Check the burner cap and crown have beenreplaced correctly, e.g. after cleaning.u Check the main jet is not blocked and the burnercrown is clear of food particles.u Check the burner cap and crown have beenreplaced correctly, e.g. after cleaning.u Check the oven is in manual operation and thatboth a cooking function and temperature have beenselected.u Check the oven is wired in properly, and thesocket switch or the switch from the mains supply tothe oven are ON.u Select a temperature with the thermostat controlknobu Select a function with the oven function controlknob.u Check the light bulb, and replace it if necessary(see "Replacing the Oven Light")u The temperature may need adjustingu Refer to the contents of this booklet, especially tothe chapter “Using the Oven”.u Leave dishes inside the oven no longer than 15-20minutes after the cooking is completed.
