l Lift cover and remove screw from cable clamp.See Fig. 5.CONNECTING TO MAINS TERMINALWarning: This cooker must be earthed.l Make connection as shown in Fig. 6 byproceeding as follows:-l Preform wires to the appropriate shape to suitfitting into the mains terminal block.l Strip inner insulation on wires using wirestrippers.l Twist the bared wires using pliers.l Cut bared wires10mm away from the end of theinner insulation. Where uninsulated Earth wiresare used ensure they are suitably sheathed toleave 10mm bare wire to fit into the terminal.l Clamp bare wires into the relevant terminal andcheck they are held by tugging each one in turn.l Clamp the mains cable securely ensuring 5mm ofthe outer insulation is inside the terminal blockand that the wires are not taught but not so slackas to cause any fouling. See Fig. 6.l Place fuse/ miniature circuit breaker in circuit andswitch on at mains.CONNECTING TO A HOB OR COOKER POINTWARNING: THIS COOKER MUST BE EARTHED.l Either follow in general terms the instructions forconnecting to the terminal block or refer to thehob suppliers installation instructions.CHECKING ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONSl Correct electrical connection can be confirmedwhen switching on the appliance as the electronicminute minder will be flashing.NOTE: HOUSE CIRCUITEarth leakage and continuity tests must be carriedout before the cooker is connected to the mainssupply and re-checked after fitting.10Feed the cable through the cabinet andarrange to route the cable away from thecooker which may become hot.Fig.5Fig.6
