7The appliance is designed to be connected to 230 Vmonophase electricity supply. The connection must be carried out in compliance withthe laws and regulations in force. Before the appliance is connected:1) check that the main fuse and the domestic installationcan support the load (see the rating label);2) check that the power supply is properly earthed incompliance with the current rules;3) check the socket or the double pole switch used forthe electrical connection can be easily reached withthe appliance built in the forniture unit.Connect the plug, able to support the load marked onthe identification plate, to the cable, following therecommendation given in Fig. 7. The plug has to befitted in a proper socket. If connecting the appliance directly to the electric system,it is necessary that you install a double pole switchbetween the appliance and the electricity supply, with aminimum gap of 3 mm. between the switch contacts andof a type suitable for the required load in compliancewith the current rules. The earth cable (yellow/green) must not be interruptedby the interrupter. The connection cable has to be placed in order that, ineach part, it cannot reach a temperature 90 °C higherthan the room temperature. The brown coloured phase cable (fitted in the terminalblock contact marked with "L") must always be connectedto the network phase.REPLACEMENT OF THE VOLTAGE CABLEThe connection of the voltage cable to the appliance'sterminal block is of type "Y". This means that itsreplacement requires the specific equipment of atechnician. In this case, only cable type H05V2V 2-F T90 must beused. The cable section must be suitable to the voltageand the working temperature. The yellow/green earth wire must be approximately 2cm. longer than the phase wires (Fig 7).After connection try out the heating elements allowingthem to function for approximately 3 minutes. To open the terminal block and reach the terminals, proceed as follows:l insert the point of a screwdriver into the visibleprotrunding part of the terminal block;l exert a light pressure and lift (Fig. 8)7.
