8Building InFO 1013Building over a cupboard or drawerIf the hob is to be installed above a cupboard ordrawer it will be necessary to fit a heat resistantboard below the base of the hob on theunderside of the work surface.Building over a kitchen unit withdoorProper arrangements must be taken indesigning the furniture unit, in order to avoidany contact with the bottom of the hob whichcan be heated when it is operated. Therecommended solution is shown in diagram 1.The panel fitted under the hob ("a") should beeasily removable to allow easy access iftechnical assistance is needed.
