5Hob burners control knobsThe symbols on the hob burners control knobs mean that:z there is no gas supplythere is maximum gas supplythere is minimum gas supplyLighting the burnersFor easier lighting, proceed before putting apan on the pan support.To light a burner:z Push in the relevant knob and turn it anticlockwiseto "maximum position".z At the same time, keep the knob pushed down forabout 5 seconds. This will allow the "thermocouple"(Fig. 1, lett. C) to be heated and the safety deviceto be switched off, otherwise the gas supply wouldbe interrupted.z Then, check the flame is regular and adjust it asrequired.If you cannot light the flame even after several attempts,check the "cap" (Fig. 1, lett.
