THE GRILL PAN AND HANDLEThe grill pan has a removable handle.To insert the handle, press the button on thehandle with the thumb and pivot the handleslightly upwards inserting the lip into widest partof the bracket. Move the handle towards theleft, lower into position and release the button.To remove the handle, press the button on thehandle with the thumb and pivot the handleslightly upwards and towards the right toremove from the bracket.To correctly locate the grill pan on the shelf,ensure that the cut out on the underside of thehandle bracket locates over the front bar of theshelf.To check the progress of the food being grilled,the grill pan should be withdrawn on the shelf toattend to food during cooking.HINTS AND TIPSMost foods should be placed on the grillinggrid in the grill pan. This allows maximumcirculation of air by raising the food out of fatsand juices. Foods such as fish, liver andkidneys may be placed directly on the trivet inthe grill pan if preferred.Adjust the grid and grill pan runner position toallow for different thicknesses of food.Position the food close to the element forfaster cooking and further away for moregentle cooking.16Protect your hands when removing thegrill pan handle.Always remove the grill pan handleduring grilling.Ensure the handle is positively located.Ensure that you support the grill panwhen it is withdrawn.
