Refer to Safety chapters.GENERAL INFORMATION• Clean the hob after each use.• Always use cookware with clean bottom.• Scratches or dark stains on the surface have noeffect on how the hob operates.• Use a special cleaner applicable for the surfaceof the hob.• Use a special scraper for the glass.CLEANING THE HOB• Remove immediately: melted plastic, plasticfoil, sugar and food with sugar. If not, the dirtcan cause damage to the hob. Take care toavoid burns. Put the special scraper on theglass surface at an acute angle and move theblade on the surface.• Remove when the hob is sufficiently cool:limescale rings, water rings, fat stains, shinymetallic discoloration. Clean the hob with amoist cloth and non-abrasive detergent. Aftercleaning, wipe the hob dry with a soft cloth.• Remove shiny metallic discoloration: use asolution of water with vinegar and clean theglass surface with a moist cloth.TROUBLESHOOTINGWARNING! Refer to Safety chapters.WHAT TO DO IF...Problem Possible cause RemedyYou cannot activate or operatethe hob.The hob is not connected to anelectrical supply or it is con-nected incorrectly.Check if the hob is correctlyconnected to the electricalsupply. Refer to the connectiondiagram.The fuse is blown. Make sure that the fuse is thecause of the malfunction. If thefuse is blown again and again,contact a qualified electrician.You do not set the heat settingfor 10 seconds.Activate the hob again and setthe heat setting in less than 10seconds.You touched 2 or more sensorfields at the same time.Touch only one sensor field.Pause operates. Refer to "Daily use".There is water or fat stains onthe control panel.Clean the control panel.An acoustic signal sounds andthe hob deactivates.An acoustic signal soundswhen the hob is deactivated.You put something on one ormore sensor fields.Remove the object from thesensor fields.11
