13Electrical ConnectionElectrical ConnectionAny electrical work required to install this appli-ance should be carried out by a qualified electri-cian or competent person.This appliance must be earthed.The manufacturer declines any liability should thesesafety measures not be observed.Electrical RequirementsBefore switching on, make sure the electricity supply volt-age is the same as that indicated on the appliance ratingplate.The appliance is supplied with a 13 amp plug fitted. In theevent of having to change the fuse in the plug supplied, a13 amp ASTA approved (BS 1362) fuse must be used.Should the plug need to be replaced for any reason. Thewires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance withthe following code:Green and Yellow: EarthBlue: NeutralBrown: LiveThe wire coloured green and yellow must be connectedto the terminal marked with the letter “E“ or by the earthsymbol or coloured green and yellow.The wire coloured blue must be connected to the termi-nal “N“ or coloured black.The wire coloured brown must be connected to the ter-minal marked “L“ or coloured red.Upon completion there must be no cut, or straystrands of wire present and the cord clamp must besecure over the outer sheath.This appliance complies with the followingE.E.C.
