Zaxcom Digital Wireless System User’s Manual_______________________________________Chapter 219Connectors, Switches and LEDsAntennaThe transmitter has a gold plated SMA connector. Included is an antenna cut to the correct length for yourtransmitter’s specific frequency block. You should periodically check that the connector is still securely tightened.Mix RatioThis fader controls the ratio between the audio coming directly from the mic and audio coming from the IFB feedand is enabled when you set IFB Earpiece Source page to IFB MIX ALL.NOTE: If you choose to mix the audio with the IFB return audio you will hear phasing. The reason is the slightdelay in the transmission process before it gets to your headphone. That delayed IFB audio, in concert withthe audio coming directly from the mic, is what causes this phasing, and is totally normal.Headphone FaderThis fader controls the volume level to the 1/8” headphone jack. When first putting your headphones, be sure toturn OFF (full counter-clockwise) the headphone volume.Power SwitchThis switch is not as low profile as those on the TRX900 ( /AA). Since this unit is not being used on talent, itshould not be a problem.BatteryThe VPX battery slides in to the battery opening in the bottom of the unit. Be sure to press it in far enough that itclicks (locks) in place. To remove the battery, press the red edge inward and gently pull the battery out.Phantom Power Switch & Mic/Line SwitchSee Fig 2-3 to get your bearings.
