Regular care will help preserve thefinish.Picture Glass CleaningThe picture tube face attracts dust particles a_d should becleaned regularly. To clean the face, spray a smalJ amount ofglass cleaner on a cleaning clo':h and wipe the: picture tubeglass face until dean. Repeat i:; necessary.To delay new dust accumulation, wet a soft cloth in lukewarmwater in which a little fabric sc,ftener or Ivory dishwashing de-tergent has been mixed. Wring the cloth almost dry. Wipe theglass face. Make sure no drops of moisture are squeezed ontothe glass. Do not w_pe the glas_ dry. Allow the glass to air-drybefore you turn the TV on again.EXTENDED ABSENCEBefore an extended absence (such as a vacation) you maywant to unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.This wil! prolect the TV from possible damage from lightningor power line surges. Usuallycaused by the TV being located too far from the TV station orby an improper antenna installation.Ghosts or Reflections Caused by signals being reflectedfrom surrounding buildings, water tanks, or other high struc-tures.Radio Signal Police, amateur or CB radio transmitters maycause interference.These interference problems can often be corrected throughthe use of a better antenna, signal amplifiers, or various filterdevices.
