14 StorageBEFORE STORING THE BLOWER:1. Drain a fuel tank and push the primer bulb until itbecomes empty of fuel.2. Remove the spark plug and drop a spoonful of2-cycle oil into the cylider. Crank the engineseveral time and install the spark plug.Troubleshooting guideCase 1. Starting failureCHECK PROBABLE CAUSES ACTIONfuel tank ➞ incorrect fuel ➞ drain it and with correct fuelfuel filter ➞ fuel filter is clogged ➞ cleancarburetor adjustment screw ➞ out of normal range ➞ adjust to normal rangesparking (no spark) ➞ spark plug is fouled/wet ➞ clean/dry➞ plug gap is incorrect ➞ correct (GAP: 0.6~0.7mm)spark plug ➞ disconnected ➞ retightenCase 2. Engine starts but does not keep running/Hard re-starting.CHECK PROBABLE CAUSES ACTIONfuel tank ➞ incorrect fuel or staled fuel ➞ drain it and with correct fuelcarburetor adjustment screw ➞ out of normal range ➞ adjust to normal rangemuffler,cylinder (exhaust port) ➞ carbon is built-up ➞ wipe awayair cleaner ➞ clogged with dust ➞ washWhen your unit seems to need further service, please consult with our RedMax service shop in your area.Maintenance■ PROCEDURES TO BE PERFORMED AFTEREVERY 50 HOURS OF USE• Remove the muffler, insert a screwdriver into thevent, and wipe away any carbon buildup. Wipeaway any carbon buildup on the muffler exhaustvent and cylinder exhaust port at the same time.• Tighten all screws, bolts, and fittings.
