33EN SmartFan7.2.3 Heat exchanger maintenanceStep 1: Pull the inside coverout of the mounting tube. Step 2: Unplug the fan (1)Pull the fan unit out of themounting tube using thestrap (2), taking care that thepower / control cable is notdamaged.Step 3: Pull the heatexchanger unit out of themounting tube using thestrap (2), taking care that thepower / control cable is notdamaged.Step 4: Clean the heatexchanger unit using a va-cuum cleaner or wash withwarm water. Only clean theceramic parts with water!Let the heat exchanger dry.Step 5: Reinsert the heatexchanger into the mountingtube, taking care not todamage the cables in themounting tube.Step 6: Reinsert the cleanedfan unit into the mountingtube. Plug in the fan (1).Push the fan unit down intothe mounting tube untilthe spacers touch the heatexchanger (2).Step 7: Reinsert the innercover into the mounting tube(with the air vent pointingupwards).
