186 :: CameraCameraHere are some tips for taking good photos with the built-in camera:• Clean the camera’s lens with a soft, lint-free cloth.• Take photos in bright lighting conditions. Low-light images may be grainy, dueto the sensitivity of the camera.• Hold the camera as still as possible. You may want to support your photo-takingarm against your body or a stationary object (such as a wall).• Keep the subject of the photos still. Exposure time is longer with lower light levels,so you may see a blur.• For best results, verify that you have the brightest light source coming from behindyou, lighting the subject’s face. Avoid taking indoor photos with the subject in frontof a window or light.• Make sure the subject is at least 18 inches away from the camera to ensuregood focus.Remember, when you synchronize, your Camera images are stored in the MyPictures/palmOne Photos folder on your hard drive (see “Viewing photos and videoson your computer” on page 99).The Camera preview image looks strangeSome third-party applications overwrite the Treo’s color settings with their own 8-bitcolor settings.
