If possible, position the energiser in a sheltered area to protect it from the weather andto improve visibility of the indicators.Installing the 9 V battery (Type 6AS3)1. Place the energiser on a flat surface. Open the lid of the energiser by releasing the side latch.Remove any loose accessories from the battery compartment.2. Select a 55 to 175 Ah, 9 V battery preferably the alkaline type to use with the energiser.Remove the battery label to activate the battery (failure to do this will reduce the battery life).3. Place the battery in the battery compartment.4. Connect the positive (red +) lead from the battery to the positive (+) terminal inside the lid of theenergiser.5. Connect the negative (black -) lead from the battery to the negative (-) terminal inside the lid ofthe energiser.
