A mounting kit,containing two mounting brackets and four screws, issupplied with the Switch.When deciding where to position the Switch, ensurethat:■ It is accessible and cables can be connected easily.■ Cabling is away from sources of electrical noise.These include lift shafts, microwave ovens, and airconditioning units. Electromagnetic fields caninterfere with the signals on copper cabling andintroduce errors, therefore slowing down yournetwork.■ Water or moisture cannot enter the case of theunit.■ Air flow around the unit and through the vents inthe side of the case is not restricted (3Com
