However, the switch isnot able to block errors or collision fragments. Inthis mode, the forwarding delay, or latency, for allframes is just 40μs.n Fragment Free — This mode is similar to the FastForward except that it ensures that collisionfragments are not propagated through thenetwork. In this mode, the forwarding delay, orlatency, for all frames is 64μs.n Store and Forward — This mode has the longestforwarding delay but ensures that only goodframes are forwarded. The forwarding delay forthis mode varies between 64μs and 1.2ms,depending on frame length. In this mode thelatency, measured as the time between receivingthe last bit of the frame and transmitting the firstbit, is 8μs.n Intelligent — This mode ensures that the switchautomatically selects the optimal mode ofoperation.Intelligent Forwarding Shows the forwarding stateif the Forwarding Mode is set to Intelligent.
