Refer to the Type 3 Power ModuleInstallation Guide.CAUTION: Only use the cables designed for the power module youare installing.CAUTION: When mating the RPS connectors to the inlet and outletsockets, take special care to ensure that the retaining spring, wherefitted, locates outside the plug casing.CAUTION: If Type 3 Power Module DC cables are used, all screwsmust be tightened with a suitable tool.Standard DC CablesUse the standard DC cable supplied with the power module toprovide power redundancy. If the power module has a protectivecover over the D-type connector, remove this first and keepsomewhere safe as it will need to be replaced if you remove the cableat any time.Connect one end of the cable to the power module outlet and theother end of the cable to the Redundant Power System socket on therear of the SuperStack unit. For more information, refer to thedocumentation that accompanies the power module you areinstalling.Optional ‘Y’ DC CablesRefer to the Advanced RPS Type 3 Power Module Installation Guideand Advanced RPS Type 3 ‘Y’ Cable Installation Guide.Use a DC ‘Y’ cable of the appropriate type (available from yoursupplier) to provide full redundancy (resilience).Connect one short lead to each of the two module outlets and thelong lead to the Redundant Power System socket on the rear of theSuperStack unit. For more information, refer to the documentationthat accompanies the power module and the ‘Y’ cable you areinstalling.CAUTION: Do not attempt to use a ‘Y’ cable to power two separateSuperStack units. The equipment will not operate.
