9/92 4-3MODEL 2100 OVERHEAD PROJECTOROPTICAL ALIGNMENTProper alignment of the optical system isessential for good resolution and uniformillumination. Poor resolution in one corner andeither red or blue in the corners of the projectedimage are indications of poor alignment. Thefollowing components should be checked andadjusted if necessary before aligning theoverhead projector.SQUARE IMAGEA. Set projector on a level table. Project animage onto a screen or wall. Axis ofbeam must be perpendicular to projectionsurface.B. Check to see that side of projected imageare vertical.C. If the image is not square, remove CAPand loosen the three (3) Head FasteningScrews (Doublet Head), and move theprojection head either to the left or right, forward or backward. When image issquare, tighten the center top screw first, then the two bottom screws. (See Figure)D. To square the image on the Triplet Head, remove the two Top Shroud screws and liftoff the Top Shroud. Follow the sameprocedure as used on the Doublet Head tocomplete adjustment. Replace the TopShroud.
