382. Using hexagonal wrench, loosen set screwin bearing locking collar. Using lighthammer and drift (in drift pin hole) tapcollar in the direction of wheel rotation tounlock collar. Remove collar.3. Using socket wrench with extension, remove two nuts which secure bearinghousing to the bearing support beam. Slidebearing from shaft. If not removable byhand, use bearing puller.4. Form a small loop of belt and pass itthrough the hole in the bearing supportbeam. Grasp the belt at the wheel hub andpull the entire belt down.Note: Slight hand pressure against wheelrim will lift weight of wheel from inner raceof bearing to assist bearing removal andinstallation.5. Loop the trailing end of the belt over theshaft (belt is partially through the opening).6. Reinstall the bearing onto the wheel shaft, being careful to engage the two locating pinsinto the holes in the bearing support beam.Secure the bearing with two self-lockingnuts.7. Install the belts around the wheel andpulley according to the instructions providedwith the belt.8. Reinstall diameter seals or hub seal andtighten retaining screws. Rotate wheel inclockwise direction to determine that wheelrotates freely with slight drag on seals.9. Reinstall bearing locking collar. Rotatecollar by hand in the direction the wheelrotates (see label provided on each cassettefor wheel rotation).10. Lock in position by tapping drift pinhole with hammer and drift. Secure inposition by tightening set screw.11. Reinstall Bearing Access Cover.12. Apply power to wheel and ensure thatthe wheel rotates freely without interference.Figure 22 - Belt ReplacementProtect hands and belt from possiblesharp edges of hole in BearingSupport Beam.CAUTION
