Release signal is given if the angle difference polarizing andoperating quantity is in predefined direction (forward or reverse direction). The releasesignal is given with definite time delay.4.5.5.1 Identification4.5.5.2 Function blockFigure 126: Function block4.5.5.3 FunctionalityThe directional positive sequence power protection (32P) function is used to detectpositive sequence power direction. The output of the function is used for blocking orreleasing other functions in protection scheme. This function contains a blocking functionality which blocks function output and resets thetimer.4.5.5.4 Operation principleThe Operation setting is used to enable or disable the function. When selected “On” thefunction is enabled and respectively “Off” means function is disabled. The operation of 32P can be described by using a module diagram (see Figure 127). Allthe modules in the diagram are explained in the next sections.Functional description IEC 61850identificationIEC 60617identificationANSI/IEEE C37.2device numberDirectional positive sequence powerprotectionDPSRDIR P>-> 32PRELEASEI132PV1BLOCK
