NMSsusing this community name have Read access for all sup-ported MIB objects but do not have the ability to changeMIB objects. This value must be set to the same value onboth the TDU 120e and the NMS (OpenView®, etc.) in or-der for the NMS to have Read access to MIBs supportedby the TDU 120e. This value must be a text string of 16characters or less.SNMP Read/Write CommunitySNMP NMS using this community name have full Read/Write access to all supported MIB objects (defaults to pri-vate). This setting must be the same value on both theTDU 120e and the NMS in order for the NMS to haveRead/Write access to MIBS supported by the TDU 120e.This value must be a text string that is 16 characters orless.SNMP Trap CommunityThis community name is used for all SNMP traps for-warded by the TDU 120e. Traps received from daisy-chained units have a period and the unit ID appended tothe trap community name.Host 1 Trap IP AddressThe first of four entries for SNMP trap destinationaddresses. The TDU 120e forwards all SNMP traps to theIP address specified in this entry. If the address is set tothe default value of 0.0.0.0, no traps are forwarded forthis particular value.To access other units external to the TDU 120e (proxied units) using anSNMP MIB browser, append a period and the unit ID of the externaldevice to the Read Only and Read/Write community name used in theMIB Browser, for example public.4.
