8. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS8.1 Child LockThe Child Lock prevents an accidentaloperation of the appliance.Activating and deactivating the ChildLock function:1. Do not set an oven function.2. Press and hold and at thesame time for 2 seconds.3. An acoustic signal sounds. SAFEcomes on / goes out on the display(when you activate or deactivate theChild Lock).SAFE comes on the display whenyou turn a knob or press a but-ton.Function LockThe Function Lock prevents an acciden-tal change of the oven function. You canactivate the Function Lock function onlywhen the appliance operates.Activating and deactivating theFunction Lock function:1. Activate the appliance.2. Activate an oven function or setting.3. Press and hold and at thesame time for 2 seconds.4. An acoustic signal sounds. Loccomes on / goes out on the display(when you activate or deactivate theFunction Lock).You can deactivate the appliancewhen the Function Lock is on.When you deactivate the appli-ance, the Function Lock deacti-vates.Loc comes on in the displaywhen you turn a knob or press abutton.8.2 Residual heat indicatorThe display shows the residual heat indi-cator when the appliance is off andthe temperature in the oven is morethan 40 °C. Use the temperature knob tosee the oven temperature.8.3 Cooling fanWhen the appliance operates, the cool-ing fan activates automatically to keepthe surfaces of the appliance cool. If youdeactivate the appliance, the cooling fancan continue to operate until the appli-ance cools down.8.4 Automatic switch-offFor safety reasons the appliance deacti-vates after some time:• If an oven function operates.• If you do not change the oven temper-ature.Oven temperature Switch-off time30 - 115 °C 12.5 h120 - 195 °C 8.5 h200 - 245 °C 5.5 h250 - maximum °C 3.0 hAfter an automatic switch-off, press abutton to activate the appliance again.The Automatic switch-off workswith all oven functions exceptDuration, End and Time Delay.ENGLISH 13
