27Connecting the DishwasherWater ConnectionThe dishwasher is fitted with safety devices that pre-vent the wash water returning into the drinking watersystem and comply with the applicable plumbing reg-ulations.• The dishwasher can be connected to cold and hotwater supplies up to max. 60 °C.• The dishwasher must not be connected to openhot water appliances or instantaneous water heat-ers.Permitted water pressureConnect the inlet hose1 The water inlet hose must not be kinked,crushed or entangled when it is being con-nected up.Connect the threaded hose fitting (DIN 259)on the water inlet hose to a tap with an exter-nal thread (¾ inch). Tighten the threadedhose fitting hand tight only.3 In order that access to the tap in the kitchenis not limited by the use of the dishwasher,we recommend the installation of an addi-tional tap, or fitting a two way adapter to theexisting tap.• If you need a longer water inlet hose than thatsupplied, VDE approved complete hose sets areto be used. These are available from your localService Force Centre.Lowest permitted water pressure:1 bar (=10 N/cm 2 =100 kPa) Consult your installer if the water pressure is less than 1 bar.Highest permitted water pressure:10 bar (=100 N/cm 2 =1 MPa)In the case of a water pressure greater than 10 bar, a pressure reduc-tion valve must be used (available from your dealer).
