Starting Up and Regulating the17Setting the Fridge Temperature0 1. Open the fridge door.A coin is required to turn the temperature control knob. This makes itmore difficult to change the temperature setting accidentally (childsafety).Setting “ H ” = holiday switchSetting “2” = warmest interior temperatureSetting “5” = coldest interior temperature2. Using a coin, set the temperature required for the fridge by turning thetemperature control knob. Select a middle position for normal opera-tion.The interior temperature is affected by the ambient temperature, theamount of food in the fridge, and how frequently and for how long thedoor is opened.3. Close the fridge door3 As the storage temperature within the fridge is reached quickly you canstore food immediately after switching on.Setting the Freezer Temperature0 1. Using a coin, set the temperature required for the freezer by turningthe temperature control knob. Select a middle position for normaloperation.3. Press the FROSTMATIC button. The FROSTMATIC button will be illumi-nated in yellow and the compressor will operate continuously.4. To switch off the FROSTMATIC function, press the FROSTMATIC buttonagain. The yellow FROSTMATIC button will go off.5. Wait until the temperature in the freezer compartment has reached-18 °C before storing frozen foods.3 Where food hygiene is concerned -18 °C should be considered suffi-ciently cold for storing food in the freezer.
