Pull out themains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or remove spring or boltcatches, if fitted. By doing this you ensure that children cannot lockthemselves in the fridge when playing (there is risk of suffocation!) orget themselves into other dangerous situations.• Often children cannot recognise the hazards present in householdappliances. It is therefore important that you ensure adequate super-vision and never let children play with the appliance! Inform childrenof the possible dangers and instruct them in the correct use of theappliance.Daily Operation• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low tempera-tures. There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers withflammable materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extin-guisher refill cartridges etc in the refrigerator.• Warning - Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigera-tor (e.g. electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.) unless they have beenauthorised by the manufacturer.• Warning - In order not to impair the function of the appliance, nevercover or obstruct the ventilation openings.• Warning - Do not use any mechanical devices or other artificialmeans to speed up defrosting unless they are recommended by themanufacturer.• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance andunplug it, or pull the house fuse or switch off the circuit breaker.• Do not remove the power cord by pulling on its lead, particularlywhen the appliance is being pulled out of its niche. Damage to thecord may cause a short circuit, fire and/or electric shock.• Do not place heavy articles or the appliance itself on the power cord.There is a risk of a short circuit and fire.• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a certifiedservice agent or qualified personnel.In case of malfunction• If the a malfunction occurs on the appliance, please look first in the"What to do if ..." section of these instructions. If the informationgiven there does not help, please do not perform any further repairsyourself.• Refrigerators may only be repaired by qualified service engineers.Improper repairs can give rise to significant hazards.
