www.aeg.com44.1 Grease filter - The grease filtermust be cleaned once a month using nonaggressive detergents, either by hand orin the dishwasher, which must be set to alow temperature and a short cycle. Whenwashed in a dishwasher, the grease filtermay discolour slightly, but this does notaffect its filtering capacity.4.2 Charcoal filter - Washable activatedcharcoal filter - The saturation of thecharcoal filter occurs after more or lessprolonged use, depending on the type ofcooking and the regularity of cleaning of thegrease filter.In any case it is necessary to replace thecartridge at least every four mounths.The charcoal filter may NOT be washed orregenerated.5. CONTROLSThe hood is fitted with a control panel withaspiration speed selection control and alight switch to control cooking area lights.Use the high suction speed in casesof concentrated kitchen vapours. It isrecommended that the cooker hood suctionis switched on for 5 minutes prior to cookingand to leave in operation during cookingand for another 15 minutes approximatelyWarning! Power cable replacementmust be undertaken by the authorisedservice assistance centre or similarqualified person.The minimum distance between thesupporting surface for the cookingequipment on the hob and the lowest partof the range hood must be not less than50cm from electric cookers and 65cm fromgas or mixed cookers. If the instructions forinstallation for the gas hob specify a greaterdistance, this must be adhered to.4. MAINTENANCEATTENTION! Before performing anymaintenance operation, isolate thehood from the electrical supply byswitching off at the connector andremoving the connector fuse.Or if the appliance has been connectedthrough a plug and socket, then the plugmust be removed from the socket.The cooker hood should be cleanedregularly (at least with the same frequencywith which you carry out maintenance of thefat filters) internally and externally. Cleanusing the cloth dampened with neutral liquiddetergent. Do not use abrasive products.DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!Warning! Failure to carry out the basiccleaning recommendations of thecooker hood and replacement of thefilters may cause fire risks.
