73MD Evolution – Cordless DT412 / DT422 / DT432Voice Mail ServicesVoice Mail ServicesDepending on its configuration, your facility may have an integratedvoice mail system, which may or may not be associated with anautomated attendant service.If this is the case, you then have normal access to a personalmailbox.You may then program your extension to forward your calls to thismailbox when you do not answer, if you are busy, or if you aretemporarily absent.According to the operating mode attributed to your mailbox, yourparties will simply be informed of your absence, and then you willhave the option of either leaving a voice message for you, or havingtheir call redirected to an assistant or any other extension you mayhave defined.Whenever a new voice message is left in your mailbox, you will beautomatically notified by an icon displayed on your extension. Youmay also program the system to notify an external number as well.Calling the integrated voice mail service then permits you to consulteach new voice message that was left, and then you may eitherdelete it or archive it, as you deem necessary. You may consult yourmailbox from your extension, from any other extension in the facility,or from an external network.You also have mailbox management options, such as recording apersonalized greeting, programming an external notification uponreception of voice mail, or programming an assistant's number, asthe case may dictate.If you are part of (a) hunt group(s) (see section “Group Services” onpage 95.), you will also receive voice mail that may be left for thehunt group in general when no one answers, if the group iscongested or when it is closed. These messages may also beconsulted directly from your individual mailbox.Besides your individual mailbox, you may also be assigned to acommon mailbox for distribution purposes, which may also beshared between different extensions in your facility.
